Description

Written for the distinguished Bulgarian pianist Valentina Seferinova and eminent English violinist Catherine Lawlor, Anemoi is a musical portrayal of the Greek legend of 'The Four Winds'. The work opens with a representation of the Four Winds played by Piano and then joined by Violin. This music then goes on to describe each of the individual Winds: EURUS a wind from the east, described as turbulent and responsible for endangering ships during storms. ZEPHYRUS the gentlest of winds, from the west and known as the messenger of spring. NOTUS: From the south and associated with summer. BOREAS the Greek god of the cold north wind.
